- Bluetooth communication: used to verify Bluetooth availability and to send and receive data with measuring devices
- Internet, storage access: check latest firmware versions and download data
- Vibration, Sound: Used to display messages when alerts occur
- Location information: used for location acquisition via GPS satellite data or network data when locating hospitals

2. Optional access
- Bluetooth control: Used to turn on/off the smartphones Bluetooth function
- Photo Library: Required to access the Photo Library to set up your infant profile picture
